How to Import a Config on XIM Matrix (Step by Step)
You add a config to XIM Matrix inside the XIM MATRIX Manager app. The steps are quick, but the settings you enter afterwards decide whether your aim feels right. These steps follow XIM's official guide.
Before you start
- Update your firmware. Shared configs can require a specific version. See our XIM Matrix firmware guide.
- Pair your XIM with Manager. Our XIM Matrix setup help page covers this.
- Read the config's notes. They can list required game settings or a firmware version.
How to add a config from a code
XIM Config Cloud at configs.xim.tech shares configs as codes. You need to register with the XIM Community Forum to use it.
- Find a config and press Copy Code.
- In Manager, press the vertical … button at the top right and select New Config.
- With the code on your clipboard, press the game shown on screen to add it.
If it is a Universal Config
- Choose your gaming environment: Xbox, PlayStation 5 (Remote Play or USB), PlayStation 4, or PC.
- If the game offers more than one aiming technique, choose one.
- Press New.
Enter your settings
- Custom in-game settings: enter your game's settings, such as hip and ADS sensitivity, per-scope sensitivity and field of view.
- Standard settings: follow Manager's on-screen instructions. Set in-game sensitivity to maximum, use the required aim settings, and leave other aim settings at default.
- Mouse: enter your mouse DPI. Manager has a tool to check it, covered in our XIM Matrix mouse guide.
How to load a config you already added
In Manager, tap the vertical … button, choose Load Config and pick it from the list.
Using a config made for different inputs
You can still use a config made for another device. Change its inputs by editing its bindings in Manager.
Aim feels wrong after importing?
- Check your game settings first. XIM Matrix has to be synchronized with your game's aim settings, so a mismatch can make a good config feel bad.
- Check your DPI and response rate if you use a mouse.
- Check for a patch. A game update can change how a config feels.
